Welcome to my practice.
Hi there, I am Kayla, a Dual-Board Certified Family & Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner in southern-Illinois with over a decade of experience in healthcare. My journey in nursing began long before I earned my degrees — as a patient care technician on the hematology/oncology floor at St. Louis Children’s Hospital. It was there, caring for some of the bravest young patients, that I found my calling. Their strength, resilience, and will to fight inspired me to pursue nursing as a lifelong purpose rooted in compassion and healing.
I went on to become a registered nurse, spending five years in emergency medicine, where I developed strong clinical skills in high-pressure settings. I have additional experience caring for both pediatric and adult patients in hematology/oncology, and for the past four years have worked as a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and inpatient hospitalist roles.
In 2024, I completed my Post-Master’s Certificate as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner through Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE). Blending evidence-based medicine with a faith-rooted, holistic approach, I am passionate about delivering integrative mental health care — particularly for children, teens, and young adults facing challenges such as ADHD, anxiety, and depression.
I am known for my deep compassion, clinical excellence, and the trusting relationships I build with every patient. If you're seeking a provider who truly listens, collaborates with you through thoughtful conversations, and offers medication management when appropriate to support your healing and overall well-being, I’d be honored to walk alongside you or your child on this journey.

The name itself carries weight: Bloom represents the potential to flourish, even in the most unlikely conditions. Hope is the anchor of our faith, the thread that connects our purpose to something greater.
